Insa Sotillo tries to win again

A month ago, Spaniard Ferran Insa Sotillo was the starring of one of the most incredible events of the CUPRA FIP Tour 2023, winning a tournament in Sweden (in Frihammen) and one in Japan (in Osaka) in one week. Paired with Frenchman Thomas Leygue, Insa Sotillo is the second seed in the FIP RISE in Mol, Belgium, a 32-pair draw in which the two leaders, Alvaro Montiel Caruso and Marcos Cordoba, withdrew and were replaced by two lucky losers.

Players from different countries have arrived in Mol: in addition to the “usual” Spain, France, Belgium and Netherlands, there are also two German pairs (Panske/Holz and Juelich/Lingen, with another German, Matthias Wunner, playing with Dutchman Van Opstal) and one from Macedonia, that formed by Catalin Tropin and Alexandr Dubrovin. This is a sign of an increasing interest in padel from all the countries of Europe and the world.
