double wins for Belgium and Netherlands

Two successes for young players coming from Belgium and the Netherlands at the FIP PROMISES weekend in Middelkerke. The host pairs who won their respective tournaments were Isaac Huysveld and Thibo Matthyssens (Men’s Under 18) and Roxy Van Wonterghem/Ines Alvarez (Women’s Under 16); among the Dutch, instead, victories for Thomas Panken and Floris Janssen (Men’s Under 16) and Jasmine Luneman/Fen Rauwerdink (Women’s Under 18).

In the only draw played with the knockout formula, triumph in the men’s Under 14 for Chile’s Vicente Soto and Spain’s Alvaro Bartolome, who lifted the trophy without losing a set, defeating 7-5 6-1 Rune Keppens and Abel Callebaut 7in the final. The next round of the FIP PROMISES circuit is scheduled for the next weekend in Malaga.
