Van der Hoek from Wimbledon to Egypt

From Wimbledon to Al Alamein, from tennis to padel. Not even a month ago, Rosalie Van der Hoek took part in the Championships on the grass in London, even passing a round in the doubles main draw. In Egypt, on the other hand, with Tia Louisa Norton took the title in the FIP RISE, thanks to her success in the final (7-5 3-6 7-5) over Bruna Albuquerque Melo (Spain) Spain and Melissa Martin (France).

The men’s final, however, lasted only a set and a half. The withdrawal of Mohamed Saadon Alkuwari and José Jimenez Casas, who were 3-6 3-3, handed the trophy to Sergio Icardo and Javier Lopez Garcia, the number 2 seed in the draw. The pair formed by the Qatari and the Spaniard defeated the Italians Simone Cremona and Marco Cassetta, the top seeded players, at the end of a tight semi-final. Icardo and Lopez Garcia redeemed, the recent defeat in the FIP RISE in Osaka. “We want to thank our fantastic sponsors and all those who supported us during this exciting journey – Icardo said –. Thank you for believing in us”.
