Cremona and Cassetta to beat

After the defeat in the final of the FIP RISE in Biella, Simone Cremona and Marco Cassetta seek redemption in another FIP RISE tournament, the one scheduled in Al Alamein, Egypt. The Italian champions lead the 24-pair draw (the first 8 on the entry list will start from the round of 16), with Spain’s Sergio Icardo and Javier Lopez Garcia – recently defeated in the FIP RISE in Osaka – as the number 2 seed.

Many Egyptian pairs are entered, who will try to get into the title fight. In the women’s, however, there will be 13 pairs participating: leading the list of seeded players are Britain’s Tia Louisa Norton and the Netherlands’ Rosalie Van der Hoek, followed by Spain’s Bruna Albuquerque Melo and France’s Melissa Martin.
