Icardo and Sager lifted the trophy

The FIP STAR in Riyadh speaks Spanish. In Saudi Arabia, Sergio Icardo and Ignacio “Nachi” Sager lifted the trophy, with Sager who is a name not new to triumphs on the CUPRA FIP Tour. In December, in Turin, it was Sager – paired with Mati Diaz – who defeated the favourites Rubio and Ruiz, winning the 2022 CUPRA FIP Finals.

Again, looking at the draw, the favourite pair to win the finals was another, the one formed by Chilean Javier Valdes and Spaniard José David Sanchez (number 1 seed): Icardo and Sager, however, from the number 4 seed, after defeating the surprising Belgian pair Clement Geens-Maxime Deloyer in the semifinals, left only six games to their opponents (6-2 6-4).
